New Author New Release! Where There is Smoke by Sarabeth Caplin

Synopsis

Pastor Henry Collins is hailed as a hero after rescuing a teenage girl from a burning church. But the real reason he was at the right place at the right time is known only to him and Hannah Mercer, the teenage girl he rescued: a girl whose faith has more to do with keeping up appearances than anything to do with God.

Lia Anders is a classmate of Hannah’s: a girl whose coming out as a lesbian resulted in immediate expulsion from the church. As an unlikely friendship develops between the two, Hannah begins to realize the error of her hypocritical ways, and encourages Henry to make a decision that will forever alter the course of their lives. But for Henry, the price of living a lie is easier than owning up to the truth.

Where There’s Smoke is a story that asks: who are we really? Are we the sum of all our actions? And is the note we finish our lives on the most defining of them all?

Excerpt

As wisps of smoke curled under Hannah’s nose, she wondered if it had finally happened: she’d woken up to find herself in hell.
I had it coming, she thought, defeated and unwilling to move from the darkness of the church basement. She felt no fear; apathy did not allow for much feeling of anything. It’s all a dream anyway.
Until alarm bells starting screeching, and then it became reality.
Suddenly alert, Hannah felt panic settle in as the air thickened and her eyes watered. Hannah never considered hell to be a place of literal fire. She placed more faith in Dante’s idea of it than the Bible’s. But this–this literal choking agony–it couldn’t be what she deserved, could it? She was sorry–desperately sorry. For everything.
As a wall of smoke started to close in on the last she’d know of the world, fighting back seemed like a futile option. She’d been running too long. This ending was inevitable. It was deserved.
She closed her eyes, ready to meet whoever or whatever might be waiting. A sturdy pair of arms lifted her from the searing floor, but she didn’t bother opening her eyes, realizing there was nothing she could do now that the devil had caught up with her.

anti-sexual violence organization in the United States.

Synopsis

What happens when love gets caught in the rain?
In this romance anthology, RITA-Award winning author Molly
O’Keefe shows us the power of a city thunderstorm from the top of a skyscraper,
while Amy Jo Cousins soaks us in a rain in Spain. New York Times bestselling
author Ruthie Knox’s heroine is devastated by a winter storm, while a summer
thunderstorm grants Alexandra Haughton’s hero and heroine a second chance at
love. Rain sparks self-awareness in the robot in Charlotte Stein’s story and
allows Mary Ann Rivers’s heroine to fall in love with her hero and her own art.
Rain causes romance between the college students in Audra North’s and Shari
Slade’s stories, while romance causes rain in Cecilia Tan’s myth-inspired tale
of a sacrifice to a demi-god. Nine romance novelettes, edited by Sarah Frantz.

 Behind the Book
Summer Rain, like so many projects, started out as nothing
more than a simple feeling: a desire to make a positive difference in the
world. So often, making a difference begins with giving something. It might be
money, time, or both, or something else altogether…but most importantly, it is
about giving, and giving vibrantly—with a focused mind, a full heart, and an
understanding spirit.
Giving vibrantly leads to vibrant change. Powerful, positive
change. Through the incredible generosity of eight other talented authors and
one talented editor, that starting point—that desire to make a positive
difference—turned into an act of vibrant giving. Summer Rain is a collection of
powerful stories about love, written with the hope of making a positive change.
Each year, nearly a quarter of a million sexual assaults are
committed in the US, nearly half of them against victims under the age of
eighteen. RAINN assists so many of these survivors, not only by operating
telephone and online hotlines for victims of sexual abuse, but also by working
in partnership with rape crisis centers in the United States of America,
providing programs to prevent sexual abuse, and helping to bring abusers to
justice.

About
the Works

Redemption
by Ruthie Knox
Jessie Bellin’s cheese shop is failing, her house is falling apart,
and the mortgage is ninety days overdue. With nothing left to offer, she’ll
take what she can get from the handyman who wants nothing but her body. But
when Mike Kaminsky suddenly asks for more, Jessie has to figure out exactly
what she wants—and if it’s possible for a woman who’s lost everything to learn
how to hope again.
The
Heart of It
by Molly O’Keefe
Gabe seems outwardly successful and
content, but inwardly, he struggles to banish the lingering demons of his
childhood. Elena is a survivor herself and knows that the smart move is to walk
away from Gabe. But his pain and his hope are too compelling to resist.
Are these two wounded people brave
enough to find love together?
Sacrifice by Cecilia Tan
When a tenth century trader from the
Orient sells his daughter to a Macedonian, he doesn’t ask why the man needs a
virgin, little knowing she is intended to fulfill an ancient pact with a
demigod who can end the crushing drought. But this demigod has sworn off his
father’s rapacious ways. With the influence of the ancient pantheon waning,
only love can heal them all.
Real
Feelings
by Charlotte Stein
Moira longs for a connection—any
kind of connection with anyone—and is beginning to despair she will ever find
it. In desperation, she purchases an android, hoping against hope that she can
find some solace in a simulation of the real thing. But what she doesn’t expect
is Michael—a machine that seems to be more than the sum of his parts.
Rainy
Season
by Mary Ann Rivers
Lisa Shirek is everyone’s favorite
barista. She does more than get her customers’ orders right: she gets her customers. She can see the most
painful moments of their lives like stormy weather around their bodies, and she
does what she can to soothe that pain with the right smile, the right words,
the perfect combination of coffee and foam. Except, then, there’s Mark—he’s a
sunbeam, a mystery made of light. He breaks through the storm around her so she
can see herself, for herself.
The
Rain in Spain
by Amy Jo Cousins
Travel writer Magda and scientist
Javi are cranky with the heat—and each other—on the streets of Sevilla. They’ve
been married for a year, after a whirlwind courtship, and Magda is questioning
whether or not she made a mistake. She’s not sure if her need to explore the
world can ever mesh with Javi’s more regimented life.
As they stroll the cobblestone
streets of one of Spain’s most romantic cities, Magda tries to show her husband
just what it is she loves so much about her job that keeps her far from home
for so long. By the time the sun rises, they’ll know if there is a way forward
for them together . . . or not.
Fitting
In
by Audra North
Stas Petrovich is sure that being
elected president of his college class will grant him the social acceptance he
craves. But when rain ruins his campaign event, he’s left in the company of the
Weird Girl, the one person guaranteed to jeopardize his chances. But he
discovers that Leila dos Santos is fun and genuine and sexy as hell, and he’s
forced to reconsider what’s most important to him.
Private
Study
by Shari Slade
Tess Bell’s sex vlog flashes on
another student’s tablet screen in the middle of an economics lecture. Worst of
all, the guy she’s been secretly eyeing all semester sees it, too, and asks her
out for coffee at the local diner. Is he like their awful classmate, convinced
he’s owed something because Tess dares to be curious about sex, or does he
really want to know her? Only one thing is certain: nothing is private
anymore.
Storm
Warning
by Alexandra Haughton
When Amy Collier left behind her
dreams—and her pride—in L.A., she hoped for a few quiet months to regroup. She
never dreamed her hometown’s welcoming committee would take the form of Tom
Wilson. Well, he could just keep his I-told-you-so grin and his sexy-cowboy
charm; she doesn’t want any part of it.
Except seeing him again stirs up a
storm of emotion, and she must try to reconcile bitter memories of their past
with her uncertain future—a future that might be a whole lot brighter with Tom
in it.

One eye barely open, glanced around the room, desperate for it to stop spinning. There’s a faint moan beside me, and when I carefully turned my head towards it, I saw brunette hair splayed across the pillow and down the back of a naked chick. My eyes slowly move down to the small of her backmy favorite part of a woman’s body.
I stopped when I recognized the Celtic tattoo and quickly lifted the sheet to see if I had my briefs on, I did. I slowly sat up to look for any evidence of last night’s shit show. No condom…no wrapper, thank God.  Lube and a vibrator? What the hell?
“What
are you doing?” giggled Amanda as her cold claws rubbed my back. I
tried to straighten out of her grip. “Baby relax, let’s finish what we
started last night
,” She whispered in my ear before kissing the side of my neck.
Did we?”
“No, you passed out before the party really got started. I had to use my vibrator to finish the job.”
“Uh, sorry about that.” I pulled her hands off me.
“Why don’t you make it up to me, Bentley? Like the good ol days, back in high school. I miss this.” she growled, grabbing my dick.
I shot out of the bed and scrambled for my pants.
“Where are you going?” Amanda grabbed my shirt and threw it over herself.
“I…ah…I need to go.” I stuttered, trying to put my shoes on without falling flat on my face.
“Bentley.” Amanda whined, throwing my shirt at me.
Bang-Bang-Bang, “Bentley get your ass up. We gotta go.” Curtis yelled.
“Thank Christ.” I mumbled under my breath as I pulled my shirt over my head.
“That’s it? Youre going to leave me like this, wet and wanting you? Needing you to fill me?” moaned Amanda.
“Sorry, Amanda, but I gotta go. Curtis and I already made plans.”  I opened the door and looked at my best friend.
“Bentley Knight before you walk out that door, you better think long and hard. There will not be a third time.”
“There shouldn’t have been a second,” toss over my shoulder and ducked just intime to miss a glass as it shattered on the wall in front of me. I closed the door and looked over to Curtis, laughing his ass off. “Let’s get the fuck out of here.”

full-for-cover-reveal(1)

Synopsis

Laura Benson has her life together, thank you very much.

Her jewelry store in San Francisco is doing wonderfully. Her design skills will soon have her traveling

to London, designing a new line that should build her reputation world wide.

She’s on top,

which is where she likes to be – especially when it comes to men. Since giving her fiance his ring back a

year ago, Laura has kept her relationships light, and short. Sexy pilot Smoke Hamilton might be hot, but

she doesn’t need a Mr Right, just Mr Right Now. She doesn’t need a man holding her down.

From the moment he first saw her, Smoke knew Laura was his kind of sexy. What he hadn’t banked on

was her being his kind of smart, with a sassy mouth too. He usually prefers his women ‘nice and easy’,

but Laura is a challenge. Smoke has always been a sucker for a challenge, he just can’t leave them alone

til he’s conquered them.

Conquering Laura is a risk, she’s Jack’s cousin, Jack is not only his

friend, but his employer too. Still she’s a risk he has to take. As a pilot, his career comes first, and always

gives him the option to fly away. He’ll never let a woman tie him down again.

The chemistry

between them definitely has the sparks flying, but will the scars of the past only lead them to crash and

burn?

About the

Author

Hi, I’m SJ. A coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good

red wines. I’m a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I

am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can’t write

without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends,

but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years.

My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write ‘Sweet N Steamy’ stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life.

My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just

like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I’m not

reading or writing you’ll find me just down the road in the park – Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and

the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)

Synopsis

This isn’t a story about a bad boy and a girl from the right side of the tracks. This is the story of a man and a woman discovering love is blind to how you grew up, who your friends are, and where you live. Love sees only the heart and soul of whom it belongs to.

Someone once said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it.

As a boy, Jayson Santiago made a vow to leave behind the projects where he grew up. He planned to conquer the world and find a woman who could not only hold it down, but also hold him up. Now he’s the reigning king of hip-hop, and while he has the professional success he always wanted, he’s missing the personal success he craves.

Victoria Watson is the daughter of an oil tycoon who never wanted for anything. Circumstances have forced her out of her protective bubble and into the real world, where she struggles to make ends meet while finding a way to get back the only important thing in her life.

Will they be able to make Jayson’s prophecy come true? Or will they be pushed past their breaking point? It isn’t easy to keep focused on the heart and soul of the one you love when you’re always being tested.

Then again, the best things in life are always worth fighting for…

Jennie’s Review

REAL. RAW. SEXY. These are the words that come to mind when I think of Jessica Ingro’s latest release, Urban Love Prophecy. Not at all your typical love story, ULP presents the reader with real issues, a couple that is NOT perfect, that does not instantly get their HEA. This is what makes the story so real. These two have to work at it, have to overcome real obstacles to make this relationship work and to make it last. It’s not all hearts and flowers for Jayson and Tori, but their story is absolutely one worth knowing.

Jayson Santiago comes from the “wrong side of the tracks”; he’s a bad boy turned successful music icon. In the world of hip-hop he is at the top of the charts and when it comes to women, he is known the world over as a player, no doubt about it. Tori Watson is the wealthy “country club” girl who grew up with everything but now has to work hard to have anything at all, thanks to an evil stepmother. When their paths cross and sparks fly, nothing will ever be the same as the “urban love story” begins.

Once again, Jessica Ingro delivers a love story filled with emotion; her writing style is so perfect. The story flows seamlessly and I definitely did not want to put it down. Tori and Jay’s feelings are so real, so genuine. I found myself wanting to punch Jay for his actions at times, yet there were plenty of moments where he just made me swoon. I shed tears right along with Tori when some circumstances arose, and at other times she made me smile and laugh. Of course it wouldn’t be such a perfect love story without the steamy scenes, and Jayson and Tori certainly are made for each other. Jay is HOT, that’s all there is to it. He is sexy and knows just what he’s doing. When these two get together, watch out!

I cannot end my review without mentioning how much I loved the supporting characters in this story. They all added to the dynamic and flow of Tori and Jay’s story and I really hope we get to cross paths with them again at some point in the future.

Jessica Ingro you’ve done it again! Another absolutely amazing love story, one that is so real, and so sexy it stays with you long after the last sentence is read. Thank you for bringing Jayson and Tori to life and for sharing this Urban Love Prophecy with the world!

“You do know you’re beautiful, right? And your mom would be proud to see what a special woman you’ve become,” he whispered in my ear. When he was done speaking, he pulled back fractionally and stared into my eyes. Blue meeting green in an effort to communicate how genuine that statement was for him.

My breath hitched, and I fought hard to swallow past the lump that was building in my throat. He said the most perfect things at just the right time. In that moment, I really wanted this man beyond just in my bedroom. I wanted him in my life.

He leaned away and settled on my side of the booth, propping his foot up on the opposite side and stretching his arm along the back of the seat.

“What other songs did you like? Or is it presumptuous of me to assume you liked more than one song on that CD?” I was grateful for the lighter topic, since the chemistry between us was starting to feel a bit combustible.

“Not at all. I liked most of them, but ‘The Struggle’ spoke to me. I felt like you gave me a glimpse inside you. It was humbling to be given that opportunity. To hear how you struggled to be the son your mother would be proud of and the man that a woman would want to spend her life with. The man a daughter would want to call father. It was really very beautiful.”

I watched as something passed over his face that was both breathtaking and raw. Before I had a chance to put my finger on what it was, it was gone. Replaced with a serious look that made me cringe a little. I wanted the playful Jay back. Not the one that appeared to be lost in thoughts, and not all of them good.

“Although I have to say the song about fucking your best friend’s girl one night and then hitting an entire sorority the next was just as inspirational,” I deadpanned. “How did you possibly fit them in all in one night? Inquiring minds want to know.” I winked and hoped that would break the mood. It worked when he threw a fry from my plate at me.

“Brat.” He laughed with a half grin on his face.

“Really, though, is that true? Did you really have sex with that many women in the span of one night?”

He looked uncomfortable for a split second before answering. “Maybe not all of them, but there were quite a few.”

“Huh. So you’re a stallion then?” Growing up with horses I knew that stallions were often bred more than once in a day. If this story was true, I could imagine him going all night like a real thoroughbred. That thought was a little too much for my brain to comprehend.

“I haven’t had any complaints. And I’m certainly hung like one.”

“You know, they say the men who brag the most are the ones that shouldn’t be bragging.”

“Oh, Tori. Now you’re testing me. If you want me to show you, baby, it can be arranged.”

This book is about friendship, love and deadbeat dads. It is about strength, courage and the will to survive in a world that can be unjust.
Her life is turned upside down by the one man who should have protected her from it all.
Emma is a survivor. Her father, who has taken off to avoid paying his debts to a well known drug dealer, has kept her down her entire life and she’s learned enough from living in his world to take care of herself, because no one else will.
She finally gets her shot at love when she meets the handsome and protective Braden Holt, only to be forced to turn her back on him to protect him from her father’s enemies.
Tragedy strikes and Emma has to decide if she is going to do what she always does, build up walls to shut everyone out, or pick herself up with the help of her friends and the man who loves her.
***This book is not intended for readers under the age of 18***
Emma Chase-Sins of the Fathers is grabbing up 5 star reviews like crazy!!!!
Here’s Chicks Looking For a Book Fix 5 Star Review:
Emma Chase is a survivor. Losing her mother at a young age left her alone with her worthless father, Joe. She basically raises herself and learned at a young age she must work to have anything for herself. She not only takes care of herself but handles her father’s debts as well. As Emma gets older she continues to work her way up into a management position and is able to provide herself with a stable home.
Emma’s father has always left her to deal with his sins. One horrific night that brings Emma’s world crashing down, and she goes to the one person that always made her feel safe, Braden.
Braden has never stopped loving Emma, even after she left him a year ago. When she comes back into his life broken he does whatever he can to help her heal and will fight to stay in her life this time.
Just when Emma and Braden think everything will be fine, tragedy strikes again. Will Emma give up or will she fight back this time?
I thought this was a great book. The first chapter blew my mind with the disturbingly, violent graphic scenes so be prepared. The rest of the book is basically Emma learning to cope with the shitty life she has been given and Braden helping her get her life back. Braden is an sexy, sweet, patient, and protective guy. I really enjoyed Emma’s character, she went through so much and still had some spunk to her. As you read you will be rooting for Emma and Braden all the way.

Review of Faint Heart by Lizzy Ashworth

Faint Heart

Lizzie Ashworth

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis

Cara Carson only wants one thing, and it isn’t a man. Since the tragic death of her husband, she has focused on creating a business she could give herself to, a ‘marriage’ that will never leave her stunned in grief. Her recipes are perfected and the old house remodel is underway. But on this raw March morning, the contractor isn’t returning her calls, there’s a bulldozer mired in mud on the side lot, and the man operating it has managed to destroy the huge old willow tree she wanted saved. Furious, she charges across the mire to demand answers and finds her feet stuck and then her heart flailing after the bulldozer operator has to come carry her out.

Morgan Woods never believed in love. Until now, it’s been easy to take and leave women. This woman shouldn’t be any different, except something about her pouty pink lips and her blazing hazel eyes sails past all his defenses. His business-partner dad is sick and his businesses are struggling, but he never wants to let this woman out of his arms.

Can two broken people find a way to trust again? Or will their mistakes only add more layers to the scars already shrouding their hearts?

My Review:

This is my first book by Lizzy Ashworth. It was a bit slow to start for me, as they both lusted after each other and did not want to. I am however so glad that I stuck with the book. After a few chapters I really started to feel for Cara. Her and her best friends relationship reminded me of the way my best friend and me can be. We can snap and be hurtful to each other but in the end if we need each other we are THERE for the other. I liked that Morgan wasn’t just the same old rich guy. Here is a man with struggles that is fighting for all he is worth against being with someone. Cara is heartbroken from the loss of her husband, but Morgan’s touch from the beginning ignites a passion in her.
In the end I was happy that they got their HEA. You fall for these characters and you want them to overcome anything to be together.
I will be looking for more of Lizzy Ashworth’s work in the future for sure! 4 stars.

Excerpts

Excerpt 1:

Mid-sentence of some story Jeff was telling, a strange kind of silence buzzed Cara’s ears. Her body reacted before her eyes looked up and riveted on Morgan. At the far side of the room, he stood with three other men deep in some kind of discussion. Except him. His gaze had found her and burned across the space with breathtaking intensity. She watched his body straighten, turn toward her. How long had he been there? Her nostrils flared.

He wore a dark blue sports shirt open at the throat, and dark slacks that pulled across his hips and thighs like silk. Her mouth watered looking at him. With extreme effort, she forced her eyes back to Jeff, engaging in his nonsensical conversation about shrubbery he had chosen for the front of a house he had listed. She surmised, distantly, that he was an agent, that he bought and resold properties after bringing in a crew to do updates, and that he truly enjoyed what he did. She mustered a tiny bit of enthusiasm for what he was saying, which gave her enough room to manage a laugh or two. Her desperate hope was that Morgan would see her and be furious. He could rot in hell.

Excerpt 2:

Morgan watched her mouth move but the words were sliding right past his comprehension. He gazed back at her eyes, angry hazel eyes with dark lashes and expressive eyebrows that moved with each fresh cadence of her voice. All of it rolled over him like a hot shower, exciting every last inch of his flesh. He closed his eyes briefly and ran a rough hand over his face.

“Ms. Carson,” he finally inserted. “There’s a spring. I was one of the two men you saw out there today. It’s too wet for our equipment. We shoveled a drainage line to the back of the property. We’ll know more tomorrow about the surface involvement of the spring, but it’s in the process of flooding the old basement.”

Her brow furrowed and her voice rose to a squeak. “What?”

He shook his head tiredly. “Yes,” he said patiently, “and this is why it’s a good idea to engage a civil engineer to develop a site plan. Until we figure out how to contain the spring, there’s no use pumping the basement or doing anything else on that lot.”

“But my deadlines.”

He stifled a laugh. As if all this would unfold like a card game. “This is construction. You can’t possibly expect to hold to a strict timeline. Stuff happens.”

“Damn it, that’s not what Mr. Woods told me. I have things planned. It’s absolutely essential that we are ready to open by August 15. That’s the grand opening date…”

She kept talking but the words washed over him. Warning bells clanged in his head as he leaned toward her, but he didn’t care. He pulled her against him, lowered his mouth to her irresistible lips, and fell into her enchantment.

Excerpt 3:

Cara realized as soon as she glanced at Danie that she was angling for an introduction to Morgan. He overpowered every other male on the property, tall, muscled, tan, good-looking, his burnished red-gold hair reflecting light like polished metal. But it was more than that. He exuded the natural confidence of a predatory animal. She didn’t want to acknowledge his presence, cast her gaze over his body, or look at his face, although she felt almost certain that his stare remained riveted on her. A slow blush rose up her cheeks.

“Morgan, this is my friend Danie,” she snapped, flashing him an irritated glance.

“I’m so pleased,” Danie gushed in a syrupy tone. Her hand stretched toward him and was immediately swallowed in his big callused hand.

Cara wanted to scream in frustration. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. She was supposed to pop in and check on the workers who would be diligently hammering, sawing, wiring, or whatever at getting this job finished. They would glance up and say ‘yes, ma’am,’ and the work would rush to completion. There was kitchen equipment already ordered with specific delivery dates based on her timeline. These men, most of all Morgan, acted like timelines were some kind of joke.

And all this personal drama—totally not appropriate. She had to take a tiny bit of the blame, since if she hadn’t ventured out into the mud, he wouldn’t have had to touch her, and then she wouldn’t have been in this damn mess of looking at him like he was the last man on earth. And how in hell did thighs like that fit into regular jeans? Or for that matter, what kind of t-shirt stretched over shoulders that wide and still managed to tuck into the narrow waist where, oh god, she could easily see the profile of carved abs underneath the thin fabric.

She closed her eyes and forced herself to breathe.

“My pleasure, Danie,” he replied. “Are you part of the business plan?”

“No,” she chuckled, “just a friend. An interested bystander, you might say.”

Oh, Danie was piling it on. The sooner she got herself and Danie out of here, the better her chances of avoiding even more humiliating developments in this inappropriate relationship. Not a relationship. And why was he here anyway?

“Morgan, within the next two days, I’ll have revised plans for the dirt work on the side lot.” She couldn’t avoid looking at him. “That is why you’re here, I assume?”

A thin smile played over his lips. God, don’t look at his lips. She turned to peer out the windows.

“Among other things,” he said evasively.

Author Bio

Until recently, sex scenes in most books erupted behind closed doors. I hated that fade-to-black point in a story. Why has it been acceptable to describe the details of violence, hate, fear, anger, and greed, but not the up-close-and-personal descriptions of touch, desire, and love?

I feel fortunate that modern sensibilities in publishing mean sex scenes now keep the bedroom door open. For those of us interested, stories can show readers the tingle of flesh and follow through to the heavy breathing and sweaty finish. It’s about damn time.

I like to show a process in my stories where discovery or acknowledgment of sexual pleasure or desire is key to character development. Just like in real life. I believe sex can be a truly transformative experience.

Reading has been a passion in my life. My bachelor’s degree as well as some graduate work focused on writing. Marriage, children, and a career limited my writing time for many years, but I’m back to life on my own terms now. So look out–more sexy stories on the way!

About the

Author

Melissa Collins has always

been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was

always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical

career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and

the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front

of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn’t

start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she

read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter

of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own

took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series

was born.
