Need Hot, Alpha, Sexy Men? Try Chelle Bliss

Throttle Me

Synopsis
Suzy’s a control freak and has her life mapped out – work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She’s content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

This is the first book in the Men of Inked Series.

Review
HOT. ALPHA. SEXY. FUN. These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Chelle Bliss’s Inked Men series. I LOVE these books! The series revolves around the Gallo family siblings and they had me hooked from the very first time I met them. The Gallos are a wonderful, tight-knit Italian family; they still get together for weekly Sunday dinners, which no one would dare miss for fear of the wrath of Ma Gallo. Joey (City), Michael, Anthony and Izzy are all hot-headed, loud characters with strong opinions and an even stronger love of family and friends. Their banter is fun and entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed these Sunday dinners as if I were actually there at the table.

But really what I love about this series is that each book centers on the love story of one Gallo sibling, yet the author still provides enough interaction with the others as secondary characters. While each book can be read as a standalone (with the exception of the novellas) I highly recommend reading the series in order.

We first meet everyone in Throttle Me, the story of City (Joey Gallo) and Suzy. This story is HOT and it’s fun and it’s the perfect introduction to the Gallo clan and all their intense alpha-ness. There’s an instant connection between City and Suzy and while they are so different, such an unlikely pair, they find they are meant to be. There’s minimal drama, which is something that I really liked about this story. I am not a fan of too much angst especially when it begins to feel forced, and Throttle Me has just the right amount to keep the story flowing and the reader entertained. I found myself rooting for Suzy and City to overcome their differences and find their HEA.

Hook Me is the second book in the Inked Men series and it’s just as hot if not hotter than the first one. Michael Gallo is another HOT alpha Gallo brother and when he literally stumbles across Mia, sparks fly. Mia is a doctor; she’s beautiful, she’s confident, and her world gets turned upside down once Michael becomes a part of it. Their chemistry is hot and their love is sweet. I loved following their story and couldn’t wait to see how it would lead to their HEA. Of course what made the story even better were the appearances of the rest of the Gallo clan; their dialogue is humorous, entertaining and keeps the reader engaged and wanting more.

Throttled Me is a fun novella which gives us a quick further glimpse into City and Suzy’s relationship, taking place after Hook Me (Book #2). I love this story! I think Chelle Bliss does a wonderful job providing the reader with plenty of hot sex, funny banter and all around goodness as City and Suzy embark on the next stage of their lives together.

Resist Me is the third full-length novel in the Inked Men series and in my opinion it is by far the HOTTEST. This is the story of Izzy and James and wow it’s intense! Izzy Gallo is quite the spitfire; she’s smart, she’s feisty and having grown up with 4 VERY ALPHA brothers she does not tolerate being told what to do by anyone. This is my favorite story of the series so far. James is amazing. He’s hot and sexy and he’s got a kinky side to him that is pretty much irresistible. I absolutely loved following their story and couldn’t wait to see where it would lead.

Chelle Bliss has really done a wonderful job with the Inked Men series. Each book is just different enough from the others to keep it interesting and exciting and yet they all have a unified feel, making them flow together perfectly as a series. These hot tattooed pierced guys are sure to bring a lot of fun and excitement into your life, I highly recommend the Inked Men series.

re

I really enjoyed this book. It was different and unique. I don’t know that I would call it a traditional paranormal novel, but the “haunting” as it were, was a new twist for me. I enjoyed it immensely.

Dominic and Karlie’s story is one I normally would not enjoy, but their love grew out of something that is very normal in his circle, of the mob. As I read this book I really connected with Dominic. I felt like he wanted something more for Karlie and pushed to get it for her.

I wanted so badly for Karlie and Dominic to get their happy ending, but alas it does not exactly happen in that fashion. What I can tell you is that I kept reading this book and did not want to put it down. I think Andrea Smith did a great job in this first book of the series and I want to read more for sure!

Sweet Fall by Tillie Cole spotlight!!!!

So I agreed to the Sweet Fall tour for Tillie Cole. I got excited and even signed up to do a Q&A with the Author for you all. Then I read the book. Such an awesome book that you are now getting the full treatment! Two reviews of Sweet Fall and the Q&A are to follow. I hope you take the time to read this one, its a great post!

image

Q and A with Tillie Cole

1) With each book your work seems to get darker, is this a path you plan to stay on? Will you dabble in other genres?
I adore the darker route my writing is going down. That being said, I have 4 books scheduled for next year, three of which are a YA fantasy Trilogy. This will be completely different from anything I’ve ever done before. In fact, I am almost finished the first book in that trilogy and I love it!
I have always, and will forever, continue to write whatever inspires me, and that, in theory, could be in any genre.

2) Will there be a novella on the pregnancy and birth of Rome and Molly’s first child after the miscarriage?
No. In Sweet Hope, Ally’s novel, you will see Rome and Molly around that time, so that will give Molly and Rome fans some insight into their future. Ally moves in with them for a while in Seattle when her career takes her there. But here will be no novella. The fourth and final book will be Sweet Hope, and that will be out next year. It is set when all the gang are in their mid-twenties. I can’t wait to write this one! I already have the epilogue and it simply makes me smile!!!
3) Do you feel more pressure with the Sweet Fall release due to it being so much more personal to you than some of your other works?
Yes and no. It is VERY different to Sweet Home, so there is always the worry that SH fans will be slightly taken aback with the topics Sweet Fall addresses, of the darker route it has taken. It also discusses some very personal and controversial themes. There was pressure to get them right, but being that I personally went through a disorder that Lexi is living with, I simply wrote it honestly, personally and from my heart.
Sweet Fall is it’s own story from Sweet Home, so I felt pressure to make it stand proud beside Sweet Home. I feel as though I’ve achieved this and the initial reaction from bloggers and readers has been astounding. I’m truly humbled.

*CAN BE READ AS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL*

Tracey-Lee’s Review

I would like to start off by saying fenomenale Tillie Cole! I am in complete awe of you and your strength. I thank you for sharing yourself and making this story something so, so special.

Already being a fan of Tillie’s Sweet Series I was worried when I heard that Sweet Fall would be dark and gritty. Can I tell you, I had no reason to be! Tillie had said SF would be an emotional rollercoaster, how emotionally draining this book was for her to write but before reading the foreword I had no idea!!! I knew from that point this journey she was about to take me on was one I have never experienced.

Every day is a struggle in the life of Lexington Hart. Lexi has a very big, very dangerous secret; one she fight’s daily to keep hidden from her friends, from the world. Putting all her hard work, all her rehabilitation to the test Lexi puts herself back out there and joins the Crimson Tide Cheer Squad – her passion, the thing she loved most; but it’s also the thing that tests her strengths, her ability to prevent the voice from taking control. Throw in a troubled tattooed bad boy with his own secrets and his own struggles into the mix and you have one heartbreaking love story. Austin Carillo has a reputation; he an Italian, tattooed, bad boy with a rough past and is the wide receiver for the Crimson Tide. Trying to put his gang affiliation behind him and make the NFL, trying to make something of himself to get his famiglia out of living in the hell they call life and he will do whatever it takes to make sure this happens.
His brothers start dealing drugs on campus and jeopardise everything he’s worked so hard for. Austin’s mother is extremely ill and they cannot afford her medication, so they make their money and look after each other the way they know how and this has Austin torn. When Lexi witnesses a drug deal going down at the school Austin is determined to protect his family, to protect his future and he needs to make sure she stays quiet. What he doesn’t know is she is as broken as he is. Fate steps in and Austin finds Lexi tends to always show up when he needs it.

“We all have secrets, Austin. Some peoples are bigger than others, that’s all. Wouldn’t you agree?”

These two troubled souls are brought together by fate, finding themselves in the right or wrong place at the right time when the other needs it most even if they don’t realise it at first. Lexi and Austin made each other strong; they made each other want to be better, do better. They were each other’s salvation.
“Why the war paint, Pix?”
“Because I can’t stand the girl underneath,” she whispered

“Why the tattoos?” Lexi asked
“Because I can’t bear seeing the scars of my past.”

Sweet Fall proved to me that you can’t judge a book by its cover. A guy with tattoos and piercings from the wrong side of the tracks, or a preppy cheerleader who is always wearing a perfect smile, no matter how good or bad one my seem you never truly know a person or the inner demons they are struggling to fight on a daily basis.
Another must read by Tillie Cole. ❤

Kim’s Review

I really like Tillie Cole’s writing. It makes me stop and think. Now I read a lot. I can’t really defind or quantify it for you but just know that it is a lot. So a book that gives me a book hangover for a couple of days is a rare book indeed.
I love Molly and Rome. I cannot deny this. As I started reading Austin and Lexi (aka Pix) book I was worried that I would not have the same connection with them. To be honest I did not. Not even close.

I liked that in the begining of the book Austin was a jerk and I did not want to like him. Why would anyone want that? Well as I chatted with a fellow book nut tonight we decided that often charcters in books do not face real issues. Oh there may be some sort of agnst for them to fight through but it usually is easily solved, often with the guy saving the girl. In Austin you have someone whose family is fighting a fight that most of us are not aware of really going on. They are not only struggling with life and death on the streets but life and death of the glue that holds their family together, their mom.

Lexi – here is a girl that has the perfect life, why she is in a sorority, and is a cheerleader for one of the most widely known college football teams. To get on the team is no easy feat. You have to have skill, and lets be honest look the part. Lexi fits, but at the same time presents herself as a goth girl. But underneath all the war paint she is terrified to look in the mirror. She is anorexic and while I have a completely different side of this story in my life it all boils down to Body Dysmorphic Disorder. It is hell to look in the mirror and cut down the things you see. Most of us live our lives doing exactly that.

Austin hides his scars behind the tattoos, Lexi behind her war paint. Its so easy to identify with these characters. I loved the path that Ms Cole took us down and I cannot wait for the next Sweet book to come out — I have my ideas on who Ally marries..

I found a quote once and I said it many times in my head to Lexi as she fought her demons, I wanted to just hug her – I hope we all remember it — “I am my own biggest critic. Before anyone has criticized me, I have already criticized myself. But for the rest of the life I am going to be with me and I don’t want to spend my life with someone who is always so critical. So I am going to stop being my own critic. Its high time I accept all the good things about me.” C JoyBell C. (This is by far one of the hardest quotes to live by!!)

I recommend this book to you. Take with you an open mind and a pure heart and you will find the absolute beauty within. Bravo Tillie Cole, Bravo.

New Author To Watch!! Anne Jolin and her debut novel Chasing Rhodes

My Review

Author to watch for!!

Chasing Rhodes is a debut novel, and Anne Jolin is an author to watch folks. I liked Hannah and her family and friends. They are people that you want to hang out with in real life. Hannah was in a relationship with Jackson and was not really happy anymore. What I really appreciated about this book is that she broke up with him, with no intention of starting with anyone else. Then there was Greyson…
Greyson believes that he will end up like his father, and decides that he should give Hannah up. Their chemistry is hot and Greyson is sweet if not messed up.
Now I wished I had more of Greyson POV or his backstory, and I wanted Hannah to stand up to him a bit more, but I also had to remember that this is a NA novel and the characters are young, sometimes I think we miss that about the age group. I really liked that Greyson was trying and wanted to be more like Hannah’s family then his father and example that he grew up with.
I know the author is working on the second novel in the series and I am looking forward to reading that one as well. I think this author will just get better and better with each novel she writes.

old moldy brick wall

Release Date: August 13, 2014

Synopsis:

Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long term relationship, and she isn’t looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she’s in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.

Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and she’s trying to piece back the stability her life once had.

Greyson Holt’s biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child, and broke his mother’s heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.

Something about her makes him want to try, but a man can’t change overnight.

Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?

About the Author:

I’m twenty four years old. I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside of Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns with my daddy and driving my ’99 red chevy truck, Clifford. I’ve been together with my handsome redneck, Jacob, for five years and this August we will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. I am completely and utterly obsessed with country music. I love to snowboard, go on walks with Bear (Not a real bear silly! Our chocolate lab) and I love to plan events; I don’t know if that’s considered a real hobby, but it is for me!

We were fortunate enough to travel a lot as a family, and I think that helped spark my love of reading. I’m half Viking, my mom is Danish, and her entire side of the family still lives in Denmark. We’d visit them almost once a year, every year and it’s a nine hour flight. That’s a lot of uninterrupted time to read (or in my parent’s case, entertain four children – Yikes!). My love of reading quickly turned into a passion for writing. I loved to write short stories and although I majored in Business Management, I took as many English electives I could get my hands on in college.

I’m a reader, turned blogger, turned author. I started a blog this June ’14 because I love to talk about the amazing books I’ve read, and after a few suggestions that I try writing a book, I decided to give it a go. I loved it instantly! Having always been a creative person, it felt amazing to harness all that energy and use it to tell a story that I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write – What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell, what would be the fun in that?

I am beyond excited to be embarking on this new journey as an author and I hope y’all can join me on the ride!

Stephanie, and suddenly, his focus is less on his military

service and more on the pretty brunette who has stolen

his heart. When he becomes aware of Steph’s resentment

toward the military, he worries their relationship is

doomed.

When faced with the realization that she’s fallen in love

with a soldier, can Steph’s wounds from the past be

healed with love in her present . . . and in her future?

Kim’s Review

4 Stars
This is a light and easy read. Steph has always hated the military because she lost her father during Desert Storm. She is focused and driven to graduate and become a teacher. Since her father died her mom struggled for years as a single parent, who never remarried. I feel that made Steph’s hatred for the all things military.

Brandon struggles to be there for his family and be at school. His dad the commander spends most days not remembering things. Brandon wants to make his father proud and so he is focused on getting out of school and getting into the military. All of that changes when he meet Steph.
I felt like they were fun together and there were a lot of cute 80’s one liners and themes in the book, which was fun considering I grew up in the 80’s! This is a pretty PG13 book but it still is a good book and I recommend you pick up a copy today!

Review:The Dead Tree by Lori L. Clark

Title: The Dead Tree

Author: Lori L. Clark

Genre: New Adult Romantic Mystery/Family Saga

Expected Release: June 10, 2014

Synopsis

A young woman seeks to uncover the truth behind the legend surrounding the dead tree on the property she’s inherited so she can clear her Great Aunt’s name.

“The town of Steele Grove, Missouri sits high along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. Legends run rampant around town about crazy Blythe Fountain, who discovered her beau hanging from the oak tree in the family’s front yard. A short time later, two of her friends mysteriously disappeared, never to be seen, or heard from again.

Eighty years later, Ariel Fountain has inherited the property, and after catching her boyfriend cheating on her, decides she needs a change of scenery and runs headlong to a place shrouded in superstition and family mysteries which may be better off left unsolved.

Ariel sets out with the help of a local man, Grady, to uncover the truth behind the hanging and the girls’ disappearances. What Ariel discovers is a secret so horrific she wishes she would have left it buried.”

Excerpt

The engine of the Bobcat sputtered a few times before dying. Grady swore and climbed down from the machine. I watched him out of the corner of my eyes as he sauntered up the hill. His feet stopped right under my nose. “I have to run back to town and get some gas.”

I raised my head and stared at his gorgeous pale blue eyes. He surprised me by holding my gaze.

“Um, I think there’s some in the garage. I’ll check, if you’d like,” I offered. He was still watching me intently. I blinked and looked away. I reached behind me to push myself off the ground and immediately felt a searing pain in my left palm. I jerked my hand back and felt something warm trickle down my wrist. I’d just managed to impale my hand on the garden shears I’d laid in the grass behind me. “Damn.”

Grady knelt beside me, gently taking my hand in his. He inspected the wound, while I was too afraid to see how bad it was. Judging from the way it felt, it wasn’t good. “You’re gonna need stitches,” he said.

My eyes went round. “Are you sure?”

“Yes, Ariel, I’m sure.” He quickly removed his t-shirt and wrapped it around my bleeding hand. I grimaced when I caught sight of the amount of blood trailing down my arm. “Hold it above your heart and apply pressure with your other hand.”

The edges of my vision went dark, and I thought I was going to pass out. Not from the loss of blood, I was squeamish when it came to the sight of blood. I whimpered and wobbled on my feet. “Oh, shit.”

Grady wrapped his arm around my waist and half carried me to his pickup. He opened the passenger door and helped me inside. “You okay?”

I shook my head no but said, “Yes.”

He laughed. “Hang in there.”

As it turns out, I had a pretty nasty gash. Fourteen stitches and some kick ass pain meds later, we were on our way back home. “Thank you,” I whispered.

“Let this be a lesson,” he said.

I peered sideways at him. “A lesson? For what?”

“I told you, you jinxed yourself when you said you weren’t accident-prone, and look what happened.”

I rolled my eyes. “Pfft. As if.”

He chuckled. “One of these days, you’ll trust my superstitious nature.”

I lowered my eyes and nodded. “We’ll see.”

When we returned from town, Grady shut the truck off and jumped out. He hurried around to open my door and help. The warmth of his hand radiated through my tank top when he pressed it against my lower back and guided me toward the front door. “Let’s get you inside. I think it’s safe to say you can have the rest of the day off, Princess.”

The pain meds must have made me loopy, because I would never have said what I said next, had I been in my right frame of mind. “If I’m a princess, then you must be my knight in shining armor.”

“Something like that,” he said softly.

Vyckie’s Review

I’d give The Dead Tree three stars, while I wanted to love the story line, I simply couldn’t.

Ariel is first catches her boyfriend of many years in the arms of not just one woman but two.. who just so happen to be her best friends. Within days of this she on a plane moving to St. Louis where her great aunts untimely death has left her with everything. Ariel was now very wealthy yet living with the rumors and secrets of her family’s name.

It was said her great Aunt Blythe’s first love Grayson, was found dead, suicide, and two girls gone missing. The way the story line played out with this was hit or miss. I wasn’t sure if reading Blythe’s memoir or the town’s rumour mill would lead us to what happened to these three.

The ending is just how you believe it’s going to be, with the exception of what’s under the tree. It less a few different ways of what Ariel May do them simply ends starting “karma has an uncanny way of landing a helping hand….. ”

I was gifted this book by the author, please make your own mind up about The Dead Tree, it’s only one click away!

Synopsis

This isn’t a story about a bad boy and a girl from the right side of the tracks. This is the story of a man and a woman discovering love is blind to how you grew up, who your friends are, and where you live. Love sees only the heart and soul of whom it belongs to.

Someone once said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it.

As a boy, Jayson Santiago made a vow to leave behind the projects where he grew up. He planned to conquer the world and find a woman who could not only hold it down, but also hold him up. Now he’s the reigning king of hip-hop, and while he has the professional success he always wanted, he’s missing the personal success he craves.

Victoria Watson is the daughter of an oil tycoon who never wanted for anything. Circumstances have forced her out of her protective bubble and into the real world, where she struggles to make ends meet while finding a way to get back the only important thing in her life.

Will they be able to make Jayson’s prophecy come true? Or will they be pushed past their breaking point? It isn’t easy to keep focused on the heart and soul of the one you love when you’re always being tested.

Then again, the best things in life are always worth fighting for…

Jennie’s Review

REAL. RAW. SEXY. These are the words that come to mind when I think of Jessica Ingro’s latest release, Urban Love Prophecy. Not at all your typical love story, ULP presents the reader with real issues, a couple that is NOT perfect, that does not instantly get their HEA. This is what makes the story so real. These two have to work at it, have to overcome real obstacles to make this relationship work and to make it last. It’s not all hearts and flowers for Jayson and Tori, but their story is absolutely one worth knowing.

Jayson Santiago comes from the “wrong side of the tracks”; he’s a bad boy turned successful music icon. In the world of hip-hop he is at the top of the charts and when it comes to women, he is known the world over as a player, no doubt about it. Tori Watson is the wealthy “country club” girl who grew up with everything but now has to work hard to have anything at all, thanks to an evil stepmother. When their paths cross and sparks fly, nothing will ever be the same as the “urban love story” begins.

Once again, Jessica Ingro delivers a love story filled with emotion; her writing style is so perfect. The story flows seamlessly and I definitely did not want to put it down. Tori and Jay’s feelings are so real, so genuine. I found myself wanting to punch Jay for his actions at times, yet there were plenty of moments where he just made me swoon. I shed tears right along with Tori when some circumstances arose, and at other times she made me smile and laugh. Of course it wouldn’t be such a perfect love story without the steamy scenes, and Jayson and Tori certainly are made for each other. Jay is HOT, that’s all there is to it. He is sexy and knows just what he’s doing. When these two get together, watch out!

I cannot end my review without mentioning how much I loved the supporting characters in this story. They all added to the dynamic and flow of Tori and Jay’s story and I really hope we get to cross paths with them again at some point in the future.

Jessica Ingro you’ve done it again! Another absolutely amazing love story, one that is so real, and so sexy it stays with you long after the last sentence is read. Thank you for bringing Jayson and Tori to life and for sharing this Urban Love Prophecy with the world!

Excerpt

“You do know you’re beautiful, right? And your mom would be proud to see what a special woman you’ve become,” he whispered in my ear. When he was done speaking, he pulled back fractionally and stared into my eyes. Blue meeting green in an effort to communicate how genuine that statement was for him.

My breath hitched, and I fought hard to swallow past the lump that was building in my throat. He said the most perfect things at just the right time. In that moment, I really wanted this man beyond just in my bedroom. I wanted him in my life.

He leaned away and settled on my side of the booth, propping his foot up on the opposite side and stretching his arm along the back of the seat.

“What other songs did you like? Or is it presumptuous of me to assume you liked more than one song on that CD?” I was grateful for the lighter topic, since the chemistry between us was starting to feel a bit combustible.

“Not at all. I liked most of them, but ‘The Struggle’ spoke to me. I felt like you gave me a glimpse inside you. It was humbling to be given that opportunity. To hear how you struggled to be the son your mother would be proud of and the man that a woman would want to spend her life with. The man a daughter would want to call father. It was really very beautiful.”

I watched as something passed over his face that was both breathtaking and raw. Before I had a chance to put my finger on what it was, it was gone. Replaced with a serious look that made me cringe a little. I wanted the playful Jay back. Not the one that appeared to be lost in thoughts, and not all of them good.

“Although I have to say the song about fucking your best friend’s girl one night and then hitting an entire sorority the next was just as inspirational,” I deadpanned. “How did you possibly fit them in all in one night? Inquiring minds want to know.” I winked and hoped that would break the mood. It worked when he threw a fry from my plate at me.

“Brat.” He laughed with a half grin on his face.

“Really, though, is that true? Did you really have sex with that many women in the span of one night?”

He looked uncomfortable for a split second before answering. “Maybe not all of them, but there were quite a few.”

“Huh. So you’re a stallion then?” Growing up with horses I knew that stallions were often bred more than once in a day. If this story was true, I could imagine him going all night like a real thoroughbred. That thought was a little too much for my brain to comprehend.

“I haven’t had any complaints. And I’m certainly hung like one.”

“You know, they say the men who brag the most are the ones that shouldn’t be bragging.”

“Oh, Tori. Now you’re testing me. If you want me to show you, baby, it can be arranged.”

Featured Author – Mellie George

image

I read my first Mellie George novella, Rebel: Bad Blooded Rebel Series after reading and loving Terri Anne Browning’s The Rocker series. I really enjoyed what I read! The second BBR novella was out as well, so I quickly bought that one too. Then the wait was on for the next two Ryder and Everleigh books! In that time I also bought and read her other works, Say Yes and Back To Life. I enjoyed both as well.

Recently she published Reckless Redemption: A Bad Blooded Rebel Novel. Since today was supposed to be release day (she hit publish early), we decided to feature both her new release, Reckless Redemption, and Say Yes which is currently on sale in honor of its one-year birthday.

Synopsis
**MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY-CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT**

How do you get back a love you thought you’d lost? If you have it, will you do whatever you can to keep it?

Beau Cavanaugh had lived a hard life before becoming famous as the lead guitarist of Bad Blooded Rebel, a band he formed with his childhood friends Ryder Matthews, Kris Engle, and Jude Miller. He thought he had it made when they hit it big…tons of money, endless parties, and countless girls willing to throw themselves at him for a night in his bed. However, when he meets a beautiful blonde back stage at one of their hometown shows, his life changes for good…and bad.

Danni Sharpe has been a Bad Blooded Rebel fan from the beginning and had always had a thing for their lead guitarist, Beau. She could barely contain her excitement when she meets him backstage at a show and when he kisses her before she leaves, she instantly melts into him and sparks fly.

Their attraction is instantaneous and they soon fall into a “friends with benefits” relationship with neither one willing to admit their feelings were starting to run deeper and lines were beginning to blur. When an event happens in New York, Beau falls into a deep depression and drowns his sorrow in alcohol after hurting Danni deeper than anyone ever had.

After a desperate call, Danni moves to be closer to Beau and help save him from himself, but is her presence alone enough? Can they work out all of the past hurt and find love again?

THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF THE BAD BLOODED REBEL SERIES OF NOVELS! YOU MUST READ REBEL, ROGUE, RENEGADE, AND REDEEMED FIRST!

Kim’s Review:
Reckless Redemption Review
I could not wait for this book to come out, and I was not disappointed! It is a continuation of the Bad Blooded Rebel novella series, as Beau and Dani’s relationship started there. While in New York however, miscommunications happened and hearts were broken.
Beau fell into a depression and drinking. Dani was the only one able to get him out of it and get some help. They both loved each other still, but the hurt was deep.
This book had less drama and angst than the first, but I enjoyed how the author took the couple from friends, to lovers, which led to broken hearts, healing and finally getting back together.
Beau stole my heart in this book as a transformed bad boy playboy rocker who fell hard when he fell in love. I enjoyed his transformation!
I love how all the other characters and band mates are very interwoven with each other, and I cannot wait for more of the Bad Blooded Rebel’s stories to come out!

Jennie’s Review:

As one of the biggest fans of the Bad Blooded Rebel series (if I do say so myself) and an even bigger fan of the amazingly awesome Mellie George, I could not wait to get my hands on Reckless Redemption. After all the angst and drama Ryder and Everleigh went through to get their happy ever after, I was dying to find out what happened next. Not only with their story but with Danni and Beau’s as well. Would they finally find peace and happiness? Or had their mistakes caused so much pain and damage they could not be repaired?

Reckless Redemption grabbed me from the very first sentence and didn’t let me go until the very last! I cannot get this story out of my head, and honestly I’m not sure I want to just yet. This is the story of Danni and Beau; it’s everything that happens AFTER the NYC drama. I do not want to give away any of the plot, I think readers need to experience it for themselves, and I will not spoil the fun for anyone. However, I will say that the book is filled with emotion. I shed plenty of tears, I laughed often and I almost always had a smile on my face. My heart raced when the story got angsty and I love that feeling. That’s when I know I’ve fallen in love with the story. I wanted to be there with Danni, to offer hugs and support, and Beau? Well I just fell more and more in love with him as the story went on. He is one hot rocker! Not only does he know just how to please a woman, but his heart is so big and so full of love, he’s just a dream come true.

Of course it wouldn’t be a Bad Blooded Rebel story without plenty of appearances by all the other band members and the girls. Their conversations are fun, amusing and just so enjoyable to read, and their stories continue to develop throughout the book. I know deep down who my favorite BBR is, but I can say I have fallen for all of them. They all treat their women right and their intentions are all good. Yes, even Jude’s got a soft side. ☺

Mellie George has written a true gem with Reckless Redemption. I’ve loved every book she’s written, but I honestly believe this is her finest work yet. Her writing style is flawless; the story flows beautifully and captures everything the characters are going through in a truly enjoyable way. It is clear that she has put her heart and soul into this story, and really isn’t that what being an author is all about?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mellie George, for bringing these hot rockers to life and for giving Danni and Beau the chance to tell their story. I cannot wait for more!

Say Yes

Just because we can, and because it is on sale this month, we also wanted to feature Say Yes, Mellie George’s first work!

Synopsis

Lilly Harrington was living the life of her dreams and making a name for herself as a top chef at a famous restaurant in San Francisco. She thought she had gotten everything she ever wanted until she went back to her home town of Glenbrook, Georgia for her youngest sister’s wedding over the Christmas holiday. Lilly soon finds herself faced with Luke, her first love that she ran away from the night before she left for college…who was now the best man in her sister’s wedding. Being around him immediately awakens feelings she thought long gone, and it’s making her second guess all of her choices. What do you do when your head and heart are pulling you in two different directions?

Jennie’s Review:

So for those of you who don’t already know this, I am a HUGE fan of Mellie George. I love her Bad Blooded Rebel series with all the hot rockers. So when I realized she had written her debut novel a year ago, the first in a different series, I had to give it a try. And I am so glad I did!

Say Yes (Book #1, Glenbrook Girls series) is a wonderful, feel-good love story. The kind that makes you smile and feel all warm inside. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning; Lilly Harrington, a famous chef in California returns home to small-town Georgia for her sister’s wedding and some much needed R&R. She gets more than she planned when she runs into an old friend, Luke Beckett and sparks fly as memories resurface.

In addition to the main characters there are plenty of supporting characters that I really enjoyed meeting. They’ve all got great personalities and I’m hoping the author will consider giving them their own stories in the future.

What I loved about Say Yes is that it is not riddled with drama for the sake of drama. In fact drama is minimal in this story, which is a refreshing change from a lot of romance books out there. There is plenty of emotion, I did shed a few tears, but I also laughed at times. When the story ended it left me in a wake of happiness, although I didn’t actually want to reach the end and say goodbye to Luke and Lilly.

Another fabulous story from the amazing Mellie George! Thank you for bringing these characters to life and I hope to see more of them in the future.

Review of Flame by Clarissa Wild

Check out my Review of Flame by Clarissa Wild
4 solid Stars from me!
Have you started with Fierce? You really need to read Fierce first if not. In Fierce I found that at first Hunter was hard for me to like. His back and forth, nice then a jerk annoyed me at first. But about the middle of the book when he started to reveal more to Autumn about his learning disability and then his brother in jail, you start to feel for him. I started to see a different side, one that I saw change before my eyes.

By Flame I was more than ready for Hunter and Autumn to be together. I liked that there was more of Hunters POV in the book. I also enjoyed the fact that with the two books you feel them “growing up” together. College is a weird time. You feel like an adult but not, feel like you need to start your life. Hunter felt like he needed to take care of everyone.

Autumn made me a bit crazy in the beginning of this book. However as she started to stand up for herself more and more, I wanted to stand behind her rooting for her.

I really in the end liked this series. I think Clarissa Wild did a good job bringing the angst of college and drama of a relationship to the front of the series. I am sure if you liked Fierce, as I did, and wanted to know more then Flame has to be a one click for you. You won’t be disappointed!

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I can’t
take my lips off her. I need her so much right now. I’m starving for her lips. I can’t catch my breath, but I can’t stop either. I need her to feel how much I love her, need her to know how much I need her and that everything I said was a fucking lie. It was all the fear of not being able to live up to her expectations, the horror of disappointing her. I pushed her away instead of talking to her. If only I’d told her before why I was doing this, to help her mom out, then maybe this would’ve never happened.
But fuck, I am happy she’s here and that she’s all right. She’s here in my arms and I’m not letting her go. Never again.
I’m such a fucking mess, and still she loves me. I have no fucking clue why, but that’s why I love her. She loves me completely, unconditionally, so much that she can’t stand the thought of me even having the slightest scratch on me. I know I’m a bastard for earning money with fighting, but it’s the only thing I can do, and I’ll make sure I’ll be damn good at it. If she can’t see me get hurt, then I won’t let myself get hurt. I’ll make sure it never happens. I’ll train and fight until I can knockout everyone in my path with her watching me, smiling, proud.
I want to be her winner.
Smelling her, I take in her scent in with eagerness, wanting her so close, holding her isn’t even enough anymore. My fingers slide down her neck to her spine and down to her waist as I turn her around, still kissing her. I’m slowly taking her back to the car, not taking my lips off her. Entangling her fingers through my hair, she lets me push her backward until we reach the hood of the car. I’ve not been the best at finding directions when I have my fucking eyes closed. Kissing her is more important than seeing where I’m going.
She bumps against the hood, and I put my arms around her, making sure she can’t slip away. I’m not letting her out of my sight. Not anymore. Her plump, pink lips are so luscious … so soothing … so volatile for me. They turn me into something I shouldn’t be right now, but I can’t help myself.
Planting my hands on the hood, I trap her inside my arms and ravish her mouth. I can’t get enough of her, can’t get enough of her sweetness, her passion, her spark, her flame. I need her love right now.
“God … I want you so much right now, I can’t stop,” I murmur against her mouth, nipping at her lips, catching them with my teeth.
“I want you too. Don’t stop,” she whispers, and then she drags me closer by my shirt.
“Hmm …” I moan into her mouth, but then take my lips off her again. If I don’t stop now, I’ll turn into that beast again. I know, because I’ve been there before. She does that to me. Especially now, because I haven’t seen her for a while, and now that I’ve finally got my hands on her I’m not sure I can hold back. I don’t even want to, but I’m forcing myself to stop. It’s not right to take it further now. Not after what we just went through.
“We’re soaked,” I say.
“Yeah …” The way she says it sends shivers down my spine. It’s like she’s saying she’s ‘wet’ in a whole different way. Exhilarating.
“No, I mean, we should get back to the car.”
She shakes her head, pulling me in for another kiss, but I barely escape.
“I can’t control myself,” I say.
“You don’t need to.” She leans forward and pulls down my shirt, exposing my collarbone. When she starts pecking my skin, I’m done for.
Groaning, I say, “You don’t know what you’re in for.”
“Yes, I do. We’ve had sex before.”
“Not on a fucking car, on a road, in the rain.”
“I don’t care,” she whispers, wrapping her arms around my waist and pulling me closer. My cock springs alive from her tug. She’s never been this needy. This willing. It’s like she wants me to fuck her.
“I need to feel your lips on me. I need you. I need you everywhere. Inside me,” she whispers close to my ear. Fuck. She’s undoing me with her words. Now I’m hard as fuck.
It feels so fucking wrong after a fight, but so very tempting at the same time. My desire to take her has been multiplied by ten since we argued, as if my inner caveman knows that in order to fix love you need to fill each other up with love. Or in other words, fill her up to the brim.
My cock is throbbing in my pants at the thought of having her right now. I can’t think of anything else; it’s like my mind is only focused on one thing now, which is claiming her.
Ah, screw my conscious. “Fuck it …” I murmur, and then I dive into the little nook between her neck and shoulder and kiss her until my lips are raw and swollen.
I push her up against the car, and the lift her up, setting her down on the car. Parting her legs, I step closer and suck the beads of water off her skin. With my tongue I slip down her neck, licking up all the raindrops until I reach her tits. Her hands drop back onto the hood when I grasp both her perky tits in my hands and kiss the swell, going from one to the other.
“God, you’ve never tasted this good before.”
She giggles, which only gives me more incentive to seize her body and make it mine.
My fingers travel down her stomach while I keep my lips on her collarbone, teasing her as I slide lower and lower, avoiding her pleasure spot. I know she wants it, but I want her to savor that feeling for a while. I want her to realize what she’d be missing if I wasn’t there to please her anymore. And I want to enjoy myself while doing it.
I curl my fingers around her shirt and rip it over her head, surprising her. “You scared someone’s gonna find us here?” I tease, throwing the shirt on the hood of the car.
She squints, a smirk appearing on her face. “No.”
I purse my lips and raise an eyebrow. “Not even a little bit?”
Little moans escape her mouth as I massage her tits. She can’t speak, but shakes her
head instead.
Hmm … I wonder how far she’ll go. I want to know if I can push her boundaries. It’s too exciting not to try. So I slide my fingers down her shoulder, pushing her bra down, and then in one surprise move I flip her tits out of her holsters.
She gasps as I immediately lock my mouth over her rosy nipples.
“Oh, Hunter …” she moans as I flick my tongue over her hardened peaks.
“What? You backing down yet?” I tease.
“No. Definitely not. Oh my god …” she murmurs.
“Hmm… I like that.” I grin against her skin as I lick her tits until they are nice and perky. My hand drifts down to her pussy and I splay my fingers, grasping her possessively. “Mine.”
