Strong ties aren’t easily broken…
First loves have the ability to fill us with hope and then shatter us when they end. Some people can pick up the pieces and move on. Others simply learn how to exist as a fragment of the person that they used to be.
Shane “Mack” MacAllister is one of the ones simply existing. His wife Ella died at a young age, leaving him alone and broken. Shane knew he’d never be able to give himself to another, believing there was nothing left to give. That is until a young, feisty doctor blazed into his life and made him rethink letting someone into what’s left of his tattered heart.
Dr. Megan Huntley has devoted her life to taking care of others, ever since her twin sister was brutally murdered. She might not have been able to save her sister, but she has made it her mission to help other victims. Long hours in the Emergency Room and volunteer work at the Rape Crisis Center leave little time for relationships. When Megan meets the rugged and handsome Shane MacAllister, she decides to throw caution to the wind and take the police detective for a ride. Too bad she can’t get him out of her head… or her life.
Will Shane and Megan be bound together by true love? Or will past loves and tragedy tear them apart?
Using
the pearls, I pulled her over to the dining room table. My hands on her waist
helped her up on the table where I positioned her on her knees with her back
facing me. The only thing she wore besides the choker was a sexy pair of heels
that I made her put on before we started. The loop of pearls rested in her ass
crack and the heels of the shoes pressed into the curves of her ass. She was
quite simply perfection. I could have stared at her posed like this for hours.
Pulling
on the pearls her head came back, giving me perfect access to her neck. I ran
my tongue along her skin, feeling goose bumps form on the flesh.
“Do
you like being at my mercy?” My voice was low and full of lust. I loved that she
had this effect on me.
“Yes,”
she whispered.
“Touch
yourself, Megan. Rub that clit for me.”
She
immediately obeyed. Her breath hitched when I pinched her nipples hard at the
same time I bit down on the section of skin where her neck and shoulder met.
“Are
you wet?” I continued to roll her nipples between my thumb and forefinger.
“Yes,”
she answered after several long seconds.
“Show
me how wet. Dip your finger inside and then bring it to my lips.”
She
dutifully obeyed, rubbing her slick digit across my bottom lip before I sucked
it into my mouth. Releasing her finger, I instructed her to go back to touching
herself. Grabbing a bottle of lube from my jacket pocket, I poured it down her
ass crack. Her body trembled as my finger teased her puckered hole before
slipping past the ring of muscles. I moved it in and out at a slow pace.
“You’re
beautiful. Do you know that?”
Her
only answer was for her head to fall forward and a ragged breath to leave her
lungs.
“One
day I’m going to fuck you here. You like that idea. I can tell.”
She
nodded, so I picked up the pace and continued talking low to her. “Tell me how
bad you want my cock right now. How bad you want me to fuck you. Make me crazy,
buttercup. Make me want to tear you in two.”
Jennie’s 5+ Star Review!
Oh wow! Where do I even begin? Jessica Ingro has done it again and this is her best one yet! Bound in Blue is book #3 in the Love Square series, however you can read it as a standalone and you will enjoy it just the same. (But trust me when I say the series is amazing as a whole!) It’s a love story filled with just the right amount of emotion, humor, angst and hotness to make it an incredible read.
One of my favorite things about Jessica Ingro’s writing style is her ability to write detailed descriptions that give readers a clear picture in their head of everything that is happening in a given scene. Whether she is describing the characters, their location or what is going on around them, she allows her readers feel like they are there, like they are a part of the story. I have always loved this trait in all her stories and Bound in Blue is no exception. She is equally gifted when it comes to conveying her characters’ emotions. Shane “Mack” MacAllister and Megan Huntley go through a lot in this story; it is truly an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. From the very first page, I could feel everything they were going through, and it all felt so real. Their story is quite a ride. At times I wanted to scream at both of them. I may have wanted to scream at Jessica Ingro for putting me through it, but it was so worth every second I spent with these characters. They became a part of me.
Another reason I am such a huge Jessica Ingro fan is that she knows how to write HOT scenes, and Bound in Blue has many of them! Mack is a sexy alpha male who enjoys a bit of kink. These were some of the hottest scenes I’ve read in a while; I think Jessica outdid herself this time around. The chemistry between Mack and Megan is just incredible and again, it’s the writing that makes it all come alive.
Bound in Blue is a story not to be missed. While I am a huge fan of Jessica Ingro and have loved every single one of her books to date, I truly believe this is her best work yet. I highly recommend this book and encourage you all to fall in love (and lust) with Mack! Thank you Jessica for bringing this story to life!
Standing
at the bar, I flagged down the bartender and ordered two beers. Waiting for my
change, I jumped when warm breath danced against the skin of my neck. “Tell
your friend you’re leaving. I want
you naked and lying on your bed in exactly thirty minutes.” The word friend was
said like it tasted bad.
“And
if I say no?” The words came out breathlessly as my body tingled with
anticipation.
“Punishment.”
A full body shiver worked through me. One word, highly effective.
“I
can’t waste my beer,” I argued.
Mack
positioned his hands on either side of my body and leaned into my back, getting
as close as he could to me. My belly pressed into the bar, and I thought he
might kiss me, but after several seconds he plucked a bottle from in front of
me. “Now you have no excuse.” I jumped when he landed a smack on my butt, and
then I was watching his back saunter away with my beer.
Still
reeling from what just happened, I shook my head and followed him to the
backroom. The whole way I argued with myself over whether or not I was going to
do as he said. On the one hand, I really wanted my fix of him. It was one of
the reasons I had come out tonight. Okay, it was actually the reason. On the other hand, I hadn’t seen John in a really long
time, and I didn’t like the idea of Mack making me leave when he wanted me to.
And the threat of punishment wasn’t so much of a deterrent, but rather
compelled me to want to disobey him.
Mack
was lowering himself in a seat next to Kara when I hit the room. My heart
skipped a beat at how good he looked. His tight white t-shirt stretched across
his chest, and his long legs were clad with worn blue jeans. He leaned back in
the chair and stretched his leg out in front of him, crossing them at the
ankle. He looked casual and laidback, but his eyes were avidly watching me with
an attentiveness that until that point I’d only seen him use in the bedroom. It
was enough to convince me to leave.
“Didn’t
you get yourself one?” John asked when I handed him his beer.
“Nah.
Got called into work. I’m off on Sunday if you want to come over for dinner.
I’ll make sauce.”
His
grin was infectious and I found myself smiling even though my insides were
knotted after my conversation with Mack. “I could never pass up your sauce.
I’ll bring a bottle of wine.” John leaned in and kissed my cheek. “I’m glad I
ran into you. I was afraid after all this time away you just didn’t want to see
me anymore.” Even though his tone was joking, I knew he meant the words. After
our history, I couldn’t blame him for being concerned.
“Never,”
I said with conviction. “I really have to go. I’ll see you Sunday.”
“Sunday.”
I
turned on my heel and pushed through the crowd towards the exit. Looking over
my shoulder, my eyes met Mack’s and I swear I felt his gaze straight down to my toes.

Sweet Fall by Tillie Cole spotlight!!!!
So I agreed to the Sweet Fall tour for Tillie Cole. I got excited and even signed up to do a Q&A with the Author for you all. Then I read the book. Such an awesome book that you are now getting the full treatment! Two reviews of Sweet Fall and the Q&A are to follow. I hope you take the time to read this one, its a great post!
Q and A with Tillie Cole
1) With each book your work seems to get darker, is this a path you plan to stay on? Will you dabble in other genres?
I adore the darker route my writing is going down. That being said, I have 4 books scheduled for next year, three of which are a YA fantasy Trilogy. This will be completely different from anything I’ve ever done before. In fact, I am almost finished the first book in that trilogy and I love it!
I have always, and will forever, continue to write whatever inspires me, and that, in theory, could be in any genre.
2) Will there be a novella on the pregnancy and birth of Rome and Molly’s first child after the miscarriage?
No. In Sweet Hope, Ally’s novel, you will see Rome and Molly around that time, so that will give Molly and Rome fans some insight into their future. Ally moves in with them for a while in Seattle when her career takes her there. But here will be no novella. The fourth and final book will be Sweet Hope, and that will be out next year. It is set when all the gang are in their mid-twenties. I can’t wait to write this one! I already have the epilogue and it simply makes me smile!!!
3) Do you feel more pressure with the Sweet Fall release due to it being so much more personal to you than some of your other works?
Yes and no. It is VERY different to Sweet Home, so there is always the worry that SH fans will be slightly taken aback with the topics Sweet Fall addresses, of the darker route it has taken. It also discusses some very personal and controversial themes. There was pressure to get them right, but being that I personally went through a disorder that Lexi is living with, I simply wrote it honestly, personally and from my heart.
Sweet Fall is it’s own story from Sweet Home, so I felt pressure to make it stand proud beside Sweet Home. I feel as though I’ve achieved this and the initial reaction from bloggers and readers has been astounding. I’m truly humbled.

*CAN BE READ AS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL*
Tracey-Lee’s Review
I would like to start off by saying fenomenale Tillie Cole! I am in complete awe of you and your strength. I thank you for sharing yourself and making this story something so, so special.
Already being a fan of Tillie’s Sweet Series I was worried when I heard that Sweet Fall would be dark and gritty. Can I tell you, I had no reason to be! Tillie had said SF would be an emotional rollercoaster, how emotionally draining this book was for her to write but before reading the foreword I had no idea!!! I knew from that point this journey she was about to take me on was one I have never experienced.
Every day is a struggle in the life of Lexington Hart. Lexi has a very big, very dangerous secret; one she fight’s daily to keep hidden from her friends, from the world. Putting all her hard work, all her rehabilitation to the test Lexi puts herself back out there and joins the Crimson Tide Cheer Squad – her passion, the thing she loved most; but it’s also the thing that tests her strengths, her ability to prevent the voice from taking control. Throw in a troubled tattooed bad boy with his own secrets and his own struggles into the mix and you have one heartbreaking love story. Austin Carillo has a reputation; he an Italian, tattooed, bad boy with a rough past and is the wide receiver for the Crimson Tide. Trying to put his gang affiliation behind him and make the NFL, trying to make something of himself to get his famiglia out of living in the hell they call life and he will do whatever it takes to make sure this happens.
His brothers start dealing drugs on campus and jeopardise everything he’s worked so hard for. Austin’s mother is extremely ill and they cannot afford her medication, so they make their money and look after each other the way they know how and this has Austin torn. When Lexi witnesses a drug deal going down at the school Austin is determined to protect his family, to protect his future and he needs to make sure she stays quiet. What he doesn’t know is she is as broken as he is. Fate steps in and Austin finds Lexi tends to always show up when he needs it.
“We all have secrets, Austin. Some peoples are bigger than others, that’s all. Wouldn’t you agree?”
These two troubled souls are brought together by fate, finding themselves in the right or wrong place at the right time when the other needs it most even if they don’t realise it at first. Lexi and Austin made each other strong; they made each other want to be better, do better. They were each other’s salvation.
“Why the war paint, Pix?”
“Because I can’t stand the girl underneath,” she whispered
“Why the tattoos?” Lexi asked
“Because I can’t bear seeing the scars of my past.”
Sweet Fall proved to me that you can’t judge a book by its cover. A guy with tattoos and piercings from the wrong side of the tracks, or a preppy cheerleader who is always wearing a perfect smile, no matter how good or bad one my seem you never truly know a person or the inner demons they are struggling to fight on a daily basis.
Another must read by Tillie Cole. ❤
Kim’s Review
I really like Tillie Cole’s writing. It makes me stop and think. Now I read a lot. I can’t really defind or quantify it for you but just know that it is a lot. So a book that gives me a book hangover for a couple of days is a rare book indeed.
I love Molly and Rome. I cannot deny this. As I started reading Austin and Lexi (aka Pix) book I was worried that I would not have the same connection with them. To be honest I did not. Not even close.
I liked that in the begining of the book Austin was a jerk and I did not want to like him. Why would anyone want that? Well as I chatted with a fellow book nut tonight we decided that often charcters in books do not face real issues. Oh there may be some sort of agnst for them to fight through but it usually is easily solved, often with the guy saving the girl. In Austin you have someone whose family is fighting a fight that most of us are not aware of really going on. They are not only struggling with life and death on the streets but life and death of the glue that holds their family together, their mom.
Lexi – here is a girl that has the perfect life, why she is in a sorority, and is a cheerleader for one of the most widely known college football teams. To get on the team is no easy feat. You have to have skill, and lets be honest look the part. Lexi fits, but at the same time presents herself as a goth girl. But underneath all the war paint she is terrified to look in the mirror. She is anorexic and while I have a completely different side of this story in my life it all boils down to Body Dysmorphic Disorder. It is hell to look in the mirror and cut down the things you see. Most of us live our lives doing exactly that.
Austin hides his scars behind the tattoos, Lexi behind her war paint. Its so easy to identify with these characters. I loved the path that Ms Cole took us down and I cannot wait for the next Sweet book to come out — I have my ideas on who Ally marries..
I found a quote once and I said it many times in my head to Lexi as she fought her demons, I wanted to just hug her – I hope we all remember it — “I am my own biggest critic. Before anyone has criticized me, I have already criticized myself. But for the rest of the life I am going to be with me and I don’t want to spend my life with someone who is always so critical. So I am going to stop being my own critic. Its high time I accept all the good things about me.” C JoyBell C. (This is by far one of the hardest quotes to live by!!)
I recommend this book to you. Take with you an open mind and a pure heart and you will find the absolute beauty within. Bravo Tillie Cole, Bravo.

New Author To Watch!! Anne Jolin and her debut novel Chasing Rhodes
My Review
Author to watch for!!
Chasing Rhodes is a debut novel, and Anne Jolin is an author to watch folks. I liked Hannah and her family and friends. They are people that you want to hang out with in real life. Hannah was in a relationship with Jackson and was not really happy anymore. What I really appreciated about this book is that she broke up with him, with no intention of starting with anyone else. Then there was Greyson…
Greyson believes that he will end up like his father, and decides that he should give Hannah up. Their chemistry is hot and Greyson is sweet if not messed up.
Now I wished I had more of Greyson POV or his backstory, and I wanted Hannah to stand up to him a bit more, but I also had to remember that this is a NA novel and the characters are young, sometimes I think we miss that about the age group. I really liked that Greyson was trying and wanted to be more like Hannah’s family then his father and example that he grew up with.
I know the author is working on the second novel in the series and I am looking forward to reading that one as well. I think this author will just get better and better with each novel she writes.
Release Date: August 13, 2014
Synopsis:
Hannah Rhodes has just gotten out of a long term relationship, and she isn’t looking for a new man in her life. But after a night out with the girls and one too many tequila shots, her plans to stay man free are blown all to hell. She finds herself in bed with the smoldering stranger from a party six months back and immediately knows she’s in trouble, big trouble. And the last thing Hannah needs is more trouble.
Her last relationship took her out like an emotional freight train, and she’s trying to piece back the stability her life once had.
Greyson Holt’s biggest fear in life is to end up like his father, like the man who left him as a child, and broke his mother’s heart. He vowed to never be responsible for that kind of carnage. Men could be cruel and that kind of brutality was in his blood. He never allows himself to get too close to anyone, until he meets Hannah.
Something about her makes him want to try, but a man can’t change overnight.
Will Holt be able to catch Rhodes every time he lets her go? Or will their chase end in heartbreak?

About the Author:
I’m twenty four years old. I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside of Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns with my daddy and driving my ’99 red chevy truck, Clifford. I’ve been together with my handsome redneck, Jacob, for five years and this August we will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. I am completely and utterly obsessed with country music. I love to snowboard, go on walks with Bear (Not a real bear silly! Our chocolate lab) and I love to plan events; I don’t know if that’s considered a real hobby, but it is for me!
We were fortunate enough to travel a lot as a family, and I think that helped spark my love of reading. I’m half Viking, my mom is Danish, and her entire side of the family still lives in Denmark. We’d visit them almost once a year, every year and it’s a nine hour flight. That’s a lot of uninterrupted time to read (or in my parent’s case, entertain four children – Yikes!). My love of reading quickly turned into a passion for writing. I loved to write short stories and although I majored in Business Management, I took as many English electives I could get my hands on in college.
I’m a reader, turned blogger, turned author. I started a blog this June ’14 because I love to talk about the amazing books I’ve read, and after a few suggestions that I try writing a book, I decided to give it a go. I loved it instantly! Having always been a creative person, it felt amazing to harness all that energy and use it to tell a story that I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write – What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell, what would be the fun in that?
I am beyond excited to be embarking on this new journey as an author and I hope y’all can join me on the ride!

Review of Beautifully Forgotten by L.A. Fiore
Successful
restaurateur Lucien Black’s blue-green eyes and unattainable attitude drive
women wild. But his abandonment issues and criminal past have left him
emotionally closed off. When a familiar face shows up for a job interview at
his nightclub, the ache he has tried to forget tears at his heart—it’s the girl
who once healed him…and then abandoned him.
MacBride still remembers Lucien’s delicate touch when they were both wildly in
love teenagers. His gorgeous eyes had soothed her hurt after she’d been dumped
off at the orphanage where Lucien lived. Darcy felt his jagged edges fit
perfectly into her own, and she’d planned to spend the rest of her life with
him—until a mysterious man warned her away. Now, fourteen years later, she’s
ready to endure the torture of Lucien’s indifference and having him as her
boss…just to be near him. But when it seems that they might finally take up
where they left off, a devastating secret buried in their past threatens to
tear them apart again.
L.A. Fiore’s story of smoldering love recaptures the tormented romance of Beautifully Damaged.
My Review of Beautifully Forgotten
I read Beautifully Damaged when it first came out. I liked it. When it was edited again and more about the other characters I was given the chance to read and review it. I liked the book the first time but really, really enjoyed it the second time. I loved Ember and Trace but I had a soft spot the whole time for Lucian. When I saw the chance to read and review his story I was all in!
The night that I read this book I wished I did not have to go to work the next day, as I stayed up reading all night. At 4:30 AM I had to give up and go to bed! I could not wait to finish when I got back up.
I was hooked on Lucian and Darcy’s story. I loved how when they reconnected that they both were on egg shells until one day Darcy stands up for herself and the actions as a young woman. I like when the female characters are not just the type of women that need to be “fixed”, but rather they can stand on their own two feet. I believe that female characters don’t HAVE to have a man, but the one they find compliments them. That is what Darcy and Lucian do for each other.
I am not a fan of spoilers but I have to tell you, that you need to read this book. Here is why:
I enjoy the authors style of writing. She keeps me captivated. There are plot twists and turns. Things that make you want to say “What?!? No Way!!” I even teared up. I enjoy that there is a lot about all of the friends in the book. The main and side characters are well developed. Add to it that the friends lives, and issues are so intertwined that the continuing lives of Ember and Trace are important and are a big part of the book. The part of me that loves to be in the world that the author created, and visiting old friends, LOVES this style of writing. I love that these men are Alpha males who when they find a woman to love they are ALL IN for always, not just for right now.
I highly recommend that you read Beautifully Damage and Beautifully Forgotten. I was given an ARC of both of them, and bought both as well. For me that is always a sign of a book well written.
He had to admit that she was still just as interesting to him as she had been at fourteen. Despite everything, she was still his Darcy—sweet, witty, and guileless, except at the moment. She looked about ready to torch the printer, so he moved to help her. As he approached, she was actually staring into the paper tray, yelling at the creatures that lived inside it.
He chuckled, which must have taken her by surprise, because she leaped backward and landed on his foot.
“Fuck!” he cursed.
“Sorry.”
He looked down at her strappy sandals with heels high enough to stake a vampire and had a vision of those legs draped over his shoulders. Instantly, he was hard.
“I was going to offer to help you. The printer can be temperamental, but now I’m bleeding out from a stab wound.”
She didn’t miss a beat. “It probably didn’t even break the skin. What is it you guys say? Rub some dirt into it.”
He eyed her shoes. “Those things should be listed as lethal weapons.”
“Hardly. There are far cheaper ways to kill someone.” She bent to stare into the printer again and Lucien took the opportunity to check out the curve of her ass in the little black skirt she wore.
“Stop checking out my ass and help me.”
Not at all repentant for getting caught staring, he replied easily, “It’s a paper jam.”
He thought he was being helpful and when she straightened slowly, he entertained the notion that she was struggling with the need to throw herself into his arms in gratitude.
One look at her face, though, and he knew he wasn’t going to be copping a feel.
“Your powers of deduction are astounding. Seriously, you should give a seminar on mastering the obvious.”
He tried not to laugh, but he lost that battle. And she responded by flaying a layer of skin off him with her sharp tongue.
“I know it’s a paper jam, Sherlock, I just can’t find it.”
“It’s usually in the back,” Lucien said as he reached for the back of the printer, his arm brushing up against her on purpose. Darcy’s inhaled breath in response had his balls tightening. He dislodged the paper and pulled it free.
He turned to her with a smug smile, which she returned with uncanny accuracy before she said, “Thanks. I almost lost my cool.”
“Almost?”
A slight smile touched her lips. “I should go restart my print job.”
“Probably, unless you can get the little men in the printer to do it.”
Brownies.”
“What?”
She laughed. “Not the baked goods, the little mischievous mystical creatures.”
“They live in my printer?”
“Maybe.” She started away, but stopped and turned to him.“Thanks.”
“Have dinner with me tonight.”
She eyed him through her lashes before she said, “You’re on.”
And then she turned and disappeared into her office.
